Content Owner
The content owner is the person or entity that created the content being licensed, or that has acquired the ownership of the content from the actual creator of it. The content owner can also be a person or entity who has permission from the original creator of the work to license the work to libraries and others, such as a publisher, aggregator, or vendor. When licensing content from a publisher, aggregator, or vendor does not actually own the rights to the content, you want to guarantee that they actually have the right to license you the content. This should be carefully set out in the warranty and indemnity section of your license.
