Single subscription

Single subscription:

In the single-title subscription model, libraries selectively subscribe to individual titles based on the information needs of their patrons. This model affords librarians some degree of flexibility in subscriptions- as they are able to select whether to subscribe to the journal directly from the publisher, or from a third-party provider or journal aggregator. This model of selective subscriptions gives libraries the highest degree of control over their budget (as they are not subscribing to journals bundles into ‘big deals’ that their patrons may not use), and on their collection (as they can customize their collection based on their patrons’ information needs and users’ demands).
